Our client in the FMCG sector is seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager who will report to the Managing Director. The incumbent will lead the Sales and Marketing department and guide the development and implementation of creative marketing initiatives and activities to support the brands marketed by the company, achieve sales target and sustain the profitability of the company.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
Develop and communicate Marketing policies and procedures for edible oil and imported food products.
Lead the preparation of and validation of negotiation contracts.
Direct and set standards for Marketing Department Team.
Oversee the supervision of Sales and Marketing Teams: work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and motivation of team to achieve peak productivity.
Management and administration of specialized databases.
Participate actively in strategic decisions for the company.

Market Research and Monitoring:
Monitor market trends and competitors' activities, conduct consumer market research to identify opportunities and key issues.
Explore competitive new products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing and maintain a database.
Prepare marketing proposals and program evaluation reports.

Marketing budget and expenses:
Develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communication/public relations programs and activities.
Plan and execute the budgets in the most optimal manner.
Monitor budget by comparing and analyzing results with plans and forecasts.

Brand image:
Oversee promotional materials.
Develop advertising campaigns with the Brand Manager.
Provide support for promotional special events.
Launch new products and develop the markets.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and other events.

Relationships with Partners, Clients and Suppliers:
Keep in touch with the company's foreign suppliers to keep abreast with marketing trends and introduction of new products.
Constitute and maintain positive relationships with Partners and Suppliers.
Manage any complaint appropriately and maintain a high level of customer service.
Provide support, information and guidance as and when required.
Commercial agreement negotiation.
Category management/product listing/Merchandising standards.
Managing the consumer goods portfolio.

what you need to know

Profile:

A bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing or any other relevant qualification.
At least seven years of experience is required at similar position.
Knowledge of social medias, websites, marketing analytic tools and budget management.
Good understanding of marketing strategies and trends.
Customer Service Oriented team player with proven Leadership skills.
Ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
Maintain positive relations with all stakeholders.
Proactive and able to deliver work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
Excellent negotiator paying attention to details and able to solve problem.
Work on different tasks at a time and establish priorities.
Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
