Head of HR and Administration

Alentaris Executive Search is seeking to recruit for one of its client, a private company engaged in property development and management, a high caliber and experienced candidate for the position of:

As the Head of HR & Administration, you will report directly to the CEO and the responsibilities shall
include but not limited to the following:
• Develop human resource (HR) strategies by identifying and analyzing human resources issues;
• Establish human resources objectives in line with corporate strategic objectives;
• Communicate and enforce the company’s values;
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure that the company is compliant;
• Work closely with the management to improve work relationships, increase productivity, retention and engagement;
• Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions;
• Support management by providing human resources advice, counsel and decisions;
• Lead the annual performance management, succession planning and compensation processes;
• Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs;
• Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies to meet business needs;
• Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning;
• Implement HR initiatives and coach/ advise the management on human resource practices;
• Guide management and employee actions by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods and guidelines;
• Institute disciplinary committees and disciplinary actions for non-compliance to company policies and procedures;
• Lead and manage the HR function and team.
• A Bachelor’s degree in management, human resource or leadership development;
• A Master’s degree in management, human resource or leadership development is an added advantage;
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in human resource function;
• HR Certification (CIPD, SPHR) is an added advantage;
• Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including employee relations, training and development, recognition and
rewards, compensation, performance management, collective bargaining;
• High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication and flexibility, combined with solid analytical and problem
solving skills;
• Familiar with laws and regulations governing local employee benefits;
• Strategic and fast-paced thinker with a hands-on approach to achieving results.
