Our client, an international management consulting company is currently seeking to recruit a talented candidate for the position of Business Consultant who will be responsible for providing high-level functional application and banking support and expertise in one or more banking areas (Retail, Trade Finance, Treasury, Credits, Accounting etc.) throughout all functional stages of Core Banking System products implementation projects.
Analyse client business requirements and relate them to Core Banking System products capability.
Identify and validate any gaps together with proposals for their resolution (e.g. workarounds or changes in processes) and ensure any solutions proposed are realistic and within the agreed scope of the project.
Define and validate customisation needs for Core Banking System products as per agreed business definition.
Write specifications, if and when needed, for local development and ensure Technical Consultants have a clear understanding of these specifications.
Prepare and perform the functional testing to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Coordinate with the Core Banking System maintenance groups to ensure that the product problems identified are understood and resolved.
Review client organisation, processes and workflows, and propose of a 'post-picture' to maximise the benefit from Core Banking System products.
Conduct all parts of user training in a subject, which includes design, customisation and update of training materials and handouts.
Supervise, if and when needed, other specific functional parts of the implementation plan.
what you need to know
3 years of work experience in Finance or in Banking Software consultancy.
Broad experience of various functional areas, ideally in the consulting/financial sector.
Business knowledge: understanding of financial and banking processes, such as Credit, Accounting, Treasury, MI, Asset Management, Securities, Trade Finance, Retail. Trade Finance in-depth knowledge is an advantage.
IT-oriented: knowledge of a banking software application.
Knowledge in Microsoft Office such as PowerPoint, Excel and other environment applications..
Solid financial, business and industry insights and consultative selling skills.
Fluency in English and French - verbal and written.
Additional language skills would be of benefit.
Ability to work under tight deadlines, on flexible working hours and to travel abroad;
