Our Client in the Agro-Industry is currently seeking to recruit a Centre Manager who will report to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities:

CENTRE MANAGEMENT
Ensure that the Centre is in an impeccable state at any time, in terms of the general cleanliness, proper maintenance of the whole area, including the buildings and gardens.
Set and ensure that the overall visual merchandising standards of the Centre are respected by the tenants.
Oversee the safety and accessibility of tenants (commerce and office) and visitors present in the Centre.
Handle public relations for the Centre, vis a vis the authorities, tenants, visitors and company's employees. listen to queries and manage complaints promptly and tactfully. Receive maintenance requests, if necessary, re-direct to the Property Department and follow-up until the requests have been resolved.
Participate in the development of business plans and special projects required to enhance commercial tenants' sales productivity and the Centre's profitability.
Set up appropriate strategies to maximise visitors to the Centre.
Ensure continuous animation of the Centre, in collaboration with the Leisure Department and other company's Departments, by organising events, within or in the vicinity of the Centre, including commercial and promotional events.
Maintain a high level of customer service, be it in terms of tenants and/ or walk-in clients of the Centre.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
Oversee the management of the activities operated by the company within the Centre and other future commercial activities that the company will develop within the Centre.
Manage all administration and accounting works related to the running of the Centre such as: manage leasing of spaces, negotiate the terms of contracts, prepare and issue invoices and ensure rent and other payments are received promptly.
Ensure that all tenants and external service providers have adequate service contracts.
Liaise with the responsible persons in charge of the team of gardeners and security personnel, ensure that the designated areas are well maintained, and that the security of tenants and visitors are well taken care of.
Ensure that tenants and all stakeholders of the Centre receive timely and precise information to ensure harmonious business relationship.
Implement and monitor hazard control and safety practices in collaboration with the Health and Safety Officer.
Prepare and manage the marketing and communication plan in collaboration with the Communication Manager of the company.
Prepare and administer the Centre's budgets (operational and capital), analyze and report financial data, work to maximize profits in order to meet the financial targets.

PROBLEM SOLVING:
Complaints - Handle complaints if any, with diplomacy and on time to avoid any unpleasant situation that may put the Company's reputation at stake.
Security - Ensure that the zone is safe and secure for clients and tenants. Work closely with the Property and Security department to achieve this goal.
Administration - Ensure proper management of contracts, prompt issuance of invoices/ administrative documents and timely recovery of payments.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL IMPACTS:
Service contracts - Ensure that tenants/ service providers possess the appropriate contracts to ensure continual smooth business relations.
Internal collaboration with colleagues from other departments - Maintain good relationships with colleagues to ensure smooth internal business transactions.
External Stakeholders - Ensure that contractors, consultants and any other possible external partners are aware of internal policies.
Health and safety - Ensure that Health and Safety standards are adhered to and that the Centre is a hazard free zone as much as possible.

what you need to know

Profile:

A diploma or a license in the fields of Management and/ or other relevant qualification.
An MBA or a Degree would be an added advantage.
