Our client in the quality food brand and distribution sector is seeking to recruit a Compliance and Sustainability Manager.
Ensure compliance with Legislations and Regulations with respect to Food Act, Metrology, Consumer Act, Food Handlers, Fish Mongers License, Factory Inspectorate, Napro, Processing Plant Certification, Machinery Inspection, Osha and permits from RDA, District Council.
Develop and maintain ISO and HACCP plans.
Carry out Health & Safety and Food Safety Risk Assessments and consider how risks can be reduced, develop internal policy and keep documents up to date and retained according to legislation.
Responsible for Health & Safety issues and ensure a safe working and compliant environment for both staff and customers.
Educate and train employees on regulations relevant to food industry like Health and Safety and Food Safety.
Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses.
Collaborate with External Auditors.
Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
Investigate and keep record of customers' complaints.
Be responsible for sustainability developments.
Pilot motivation and employee welfare in line with Company Policy.
Managing productivity and efficiency including waste benchmark.
Overview Production Reports.
Managing production data sheet including control of production specification sheets.
Overview of production flow, personnel and report.
Spot Quality checks and overall audit (including Trucks).
Direct processes and product testing to ensure quality standards are met during production.
Any other cognate duties.
what you need to know
B.Eng (Hons) Chemical & Environmental Engineering.
At least 10 years' experience in a similar position.
Good organizational & leadership skills.
Good communication skills.
Keep tracks of ongoing compliance work.
Ability to ensure business follow all regulations.
