Our client, in the construction sector is seeking to recruit an experienced candidate for the position of Site Manager.

Main responsibilities will be to:

Monitor and control progress of construction projects and ensure that they are completed on schedule and as per the company’s quality standards;
Liaise with client and project team for all contractual matters and agreements to be done in line with the contract clauses;
Participate in the company general managerial targets and assist management in the operational activities;
Keep abreast of legislations, best practices and other factors relevant to the contracting activity;
Determine and manage manpower requirement for assigned construction projects with the collaboration of HR department;
Work closely with the Logistics Manager to plan plant and equipment resources to be allocated to construction sites;
Monitor subcontractors’ work for compliance with schedule, budget, quality, safety and overall conformance with the contract documents;
Review activity progress report or other performance data to measure productivity or to identify areas needing cost optimisation or programme improvement;
Coordinate the development or implementation of budgetary control systems, record keeping systems or other administrative control processes of construction sites;
Ensure project costs are being controlled within budget with the close collaboration of the Commercial Director and the Construction Surveying Manager;
Monitor complaints and claims and recommend ways to mitigate impacts;
Work closely with the Commercial Director to coordinate contractual securities, bonds and insurance requirements;
Sustain a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction;
Ensure compliance to quality standards as set by the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) and company policies;
Work closely with the Safety & Health Officer to ensure that all construction sites are in compliance with safety and health regulations and policies.

what you need to know

Profile

At least a degree in Civil /Structuring Engineering and any higher qualification will be a plus;
Minimum 5 years work experience in a similar management position;
Proven ability to manage large team successfully;
Ability to manage different projects at the same time;
Comfortable communicating at all levels of the organisation (verbal and written communication skills);
Focused, reliable and able to work on own initiative and in team;
Excellent administration, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
