Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking to recruit a dynamic Finance and Administrative Manager who will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
Conduct thorough financial analysis, forecasting future financial performance, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Responsible for budgeting and financial planning, monitor financial performance against budgets, and adjust as necessary.
Evaluate potential investment opportunities, assess their financial viability, and make recommendations based on their findings.
Identify potential financial risks, develop strategies to mitigate these risks, and ensure that the organization complies with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including senior management, shareholders, and other departments.
Manage the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports, including those related to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, costing, inventories, budgets and fixed assets.
Monitor expenditures after budget adoption and approve purchase requisition after analysis.
Oversee cash management, investment and debt management activities.
Prepare reports on income, expenditure and budgets.
Attend Board of Directors and Committee meetings.
Liaise with company secretary on issue pertaining to board meetings, audit and corporate meetings.
Liaise with banks and other financial institutions on issue pertaining to the company's cash flow management.
Liaise with external and internal auditors for all issue pertaining to financial year end and internal controls.
Ensure that monthly management accounts and other financial reports are finalized each month for decision making and consolidation purposes.
Oversee the consolidation of the group's financial statement for the directors and auditors.
Develop, plan and implement goals and objectives for the finance and administrative department personnel.
Ensure vision, mission and policies developed together with the CEO and the Board, if necessary, are adequately adhered to.
Analyse and provide first level approval of monthly payroll.
what you need to know
Profile:
Qualified Accountant from ACCA, ACA or CIMA and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 5 years in a strategic role.
Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
Knowledge of audit processes and experience in dealing with both internal and external auditors.
Familiarity with regulatory and tax requirements.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders, including the CEO, board members, auditors, and financial institutions.
