Our client in the distribution sector is seeking to recruit for the post of HR Manager who will report to the Head of HR/IT and Logistics.

Responsibilities:

Drive recruitment efforts for retail positions, specialising in consumer electronics expertise.
Collaborate with store managers to identify talent with a strong understanding of consumer electronics products and trends.
Represent the company at job fairs and industry events to attract top talent.
Network with potential candidates and build relationships with educational institutions.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and other issues.
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Work closely with store management to address performance issues and implement improvement plans, especially related to product knowledge and customer service.
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
Oversee the payroll process for retail employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and specific regulations.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to address payroll related matters and resolve discrepancies.
Work in collaboration with the Customer Service experience to implement customer service training programs for retail staff.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve service quality.
Organize and coordinate staff welfare and happiness activities, such as team-building events, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, staff party.
Monitor employee satisfaction and implement initiatives to improve the overall workplace experience.

what you need to know

Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree or HR Certification is a plus.
Proven experience in HR management preferably in the retail industry.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations and payroll processes.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
