Our client is seeking to recruit a Nursing Officer who will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves managing nursing operations, coordinating patient care activities, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. The Nursing Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing nursing policies, providing leadership to the nursing team, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the unit.
Ensure that nursing care is delivered in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices.
Monitor patient outcomes and work with the healthcare team to make necessary adjustments to care plans.
Supervise and support nursing staff, including the assignment of duties and management of shift schedules.
Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
Ensure that all nursing activities comply with healthcare regulations, policies, and standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control protocols and other safety measures.
Ensure that nursing staff are aware of and adhere to updated policies and procedures.
Implement changes in nursing practice based on new evidence or policy updates.
Liaise with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, therapists, and administrative staff, to coordinate patient care.
Serve as a point of contact for patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing information about care plans.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to decision-making processes regarding patient care.
Maintain accurate records of patient care, staff activities, and other relevant data.
Prepare and submit reports on nursing activities, patient outcomes, and staff performance.
Manage the allocation of resources, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, to ensure the efficient operation of the unit.
The Nursing Officer will require to work on a shift system.
what you need to know
Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
A valid nursing license and registration with the relevant nursing council.
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and management abilities.
Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current nursing practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations.
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software.
