Our client, a longest standing and leading financial institution in Mauritius, is seeking to recruit a Product Specialist who will provide support in the administration & operations of the Global Trade Solution team & ensure that both internal & external customers' expectations are met.


Support the Product Leader in providing high quality service to clients, by providing analysis services & execution of operational tasks of the highest standards.
Maintain good collaborative relationships with the whole CIB team and support functions, to continuously have goal congruence and coherence.
Process GTS requests in a timely manner and in line with established quality standards for smooth operations.
Support the team in promoting & developing the TF product & solution in its marketing to increase coverage.
Build the business case to make appeals to the respective body to be ratified by Product Leader to satisfy clients' requirements.
Prepare and deliver high quality internal reports and presentations.
Monitor the terms & conditions of related TF products & services within the scope of the GTS mandate and ensure that the company or the client are always secured.
Analyse clients' debtors ageing lists and provide recommendation to Product leader for discussion with the clients.
Analyse claims received to ensure that they are in line with terms and conditions and the company's contract with providers and recommend to Product Leader eligibility of same for submission.
Deliver error-free work to prevent reworks and ensure efficient and timely service delivery.
Comply with all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations, procedures, and standards of best working practice in relation to lending to minimise financial loss and protect the good name and reputation of the Group.
Contribute to the achievement of the GTS sales target to grow the operating margin.
Support the Product Leader/Senior Product Leader in analysing data with respect to key initiatives or projects.
Capitalise on analytics provided to explore business opportunities, take informed decisions, and recommend targeted solutions to enhance customer service and for business growth.
Provide to Product Leader the cross-selling opportunities through access to Trade Finance database.
Support an open culture by ensuring a constant flow of multi-directional communication for knowledge sharing.
Live and display the company brand and values in all daily activities, to uphold and further strengthen the company brand internally and externally.
Adhere & comply with the Training plan earmark to the GTS team.
Keep abreast of the various Trade Finance instruments & techniques to sustain high productivity.

what you need to know


Certificate in International Trade or equivalent.
Diploma in Financial Services or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Financial Services within International Trade.
Knowledge of IT - Ms Office Tools.
Handling of trade documents.
Knowledge of trade products.
Knowledge of Trade related ICC rules and regulations.
