Our client in the construction sector is currently seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor who will report to the Head of Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities:
QUANTITY SURVEYING:
To Prepare and update Cash flow forecast, Procurement schedule, Cost control, Cost benefits analysis, Payment Schedule, Risk analysis evaluations & Monthly cost report Presentation.
To select and/or source construction materials; prepare contracts/ tenders/ budgets and assist in establishing the client's requirements while also undertaking feasibility studies.
Responsible to prepare BOQ and take off quantities.
Prepare progress claim and ensure same is submitted at the correct time and subsequently follow up on certificates.
Liaise with sub-contractors and prepare sub-contract agreement and progress payment as per agreed allowable.
Prepare and monitor wages for expat workers for internal render department.
Perform site measurement for both sub-contractors' payment and monthly application.
Liaise with Team Leaders and Client to follow-up on variation of works and pricing of same on a constant basis.
Work collaboratively with site manager for reconciliation of outstanding materials.
Liaise with consultant / client for final account.
Attend meeting on site with sub-contractors or clients.
Coordinate with purchasing department for sample validation, quote approval.
what you need to know
Profile:
BSc degree in Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 5 years' experience as Quantity Surveyor.
Proficient in Microsoft Tools.
Project Management.
Communication.
Problem Solving.
Organizational Skills.
Time management.
