The Industrial Finance Corporation of Mauritius (IFCM) Ltd, a wholly owned Government entity and duly licensed by the FSC, is currently seeking to recruit a motivated and experienced candidate for the post of Relationship Officer.

Reporting to the Head of Factoring/ Leasing, the Relationship Officer (RO) will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining business relationship in targeted markets and driving the relationship profitably and at the same time meeting clients’ expectations and satisfaction.


Communicate all key messages to internal stakeholders including agreed service standards and negotiated pricing with clients.
Build and maintain close relationship with customers in the portfolio through regular contacts and visits.
Understand the client's financial needs and demonstrating strong product and service knowledge to match the company's product offering with client needs.
Provide prompt feedbacks to clients on all outstanding queries and to internal business stakeholders on all outstanding leads/queries within agreed SLA's.
Conduct KYC reviews and risk assessments associated with on-boarding new clients.
Maintain and update accurate client information, taking ownership of client service requests and enquiries.
Making proactive client calls and responding swiftly to client requests.
Provide efficient and effective business relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Ensure that clients understand requirements of the company as regards to documentation.
Credit Origination including sales proposals, conduct risk assessment and analysis - financial ratios, with recommendation for submission to the Credit Team for assessment.
Liaise with Credit Team and Documentation Team for prompt disbursement of facilities.
Generating and growing revenue streams through effective client management.
Ensure proper handling of files and documents.
Ensure compliance with obligations under the Data Protection Act.
Ensure good customer service quality and efficiency between customers and service fulfilment as well as back office / credit functions through close follow-up and proactive approach.

what you need to know


Degree in Marketing or any other related qualification acceptable to the Board.
At least 3 years of proven experience in a similar role and in the financial services sector.
