Our client in the Construction Sector is currently seeking to recruit a Site Manager who will report to the Construction Manager.
Responsibilities:
In charge of Operations of the sites to which you are assigned to, working with contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring the building contract runs as schedule.
Plan, manage, coordinate, and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage when required through final construction on a timely and economical basis.
Closely monitor any variation to contract and report to quantity surveyors.
Advice on the selection of trade contractors to complete specific pieces of the project and oversee the performance of trade contractors.
Be meticulous on quality and performance all sub contractors/suppliers with a zero-tolerance policy.
Interaction with Contract Manager on sub contractors/suppliers non performance, resulting to contra-charges or contractual actions.
Completion of the project in accordance with the engineer's and architect's drawings interior designers and specifications, prevailing building standard and contractual constraint.
Evaluate and determine appropriate construction methods and the most cost-effective plan and schedule.
Direct, monitor and report the progress of construction activities through construction supervisors by organising regular coordination meeting with sub contractors.
Liaise with consultants to resolve any issues related to architectures or engineering, which might affect the proper running of the project.
Attend, prepare and site meetings as and when required.
Administer the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment and the quality of construction, worker productivity, and safety.
Regularly review engineering and architectural drawings and specifications to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
Track, control, and report when required on construction costs against the project budget to avoid cost overruns. Based upon direct observation and reports by subordinate supervisors.
Manage daily reports of progress and requirements for labour, material, machinery, and equipment at the construction site.
Resolve any unforeseen problems that may cause delays to the project's completion.
Ensure full compliance of all site procedures put in place by management to all subordinates.
When require to be involved in arbitration of contractual dispute resolutions.
Exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information and adhere to high standards of confidentiality and honesty.
what you need to know
Profile:
BSc degree in Civil engineering or related studies.
3 years' experience as Site Manager.
Proficient in Microsoft Tools.
