Our client in the retail sector is seeking to recruit a dynamic Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing the daily workflow of the department.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
Develop and maintain detailed inventories of products located in the warehouse and in shops.
Maintain required quantity of stocks ensuring there are no shortages nor overstock.
Negotiate with suppliers on MOQs, and MOH ensuring that the results fit in with the company's policy.
Negotiate prices of products and deliveries with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
Ensure that the preliminary costings are as close to reality when submitting them to the commercial team for making the advised decision.
Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of products.
Act as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly products supply flow transitions.
Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Conduct performance evaluations.
Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
what you need to know
Profiles:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
Five years of experience as a Supply Chain Manager with proven track record.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
