Our client is looking for a Head of Marketing and Acquisition to spearhead its Marketing and Customer Acquisition strategies across Africa. The incumbent will be responsible for shaping and executing the company comprehensive marketing strategy, with a focus on maximizing customer acquisition in a highly competitive market.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a data-driven marketing plan targeting customer acquisition, and brand enhancement in the African region, ensuring all initiatives resonate with local markets and cultures.
Analyze emerging trends, competitor behavior, emerging technologies, and behavioral changes among potential customers, to promote growth opportunities and innovation in the marketing strategies.
Develop and manage a budget-focused P&L report, ensuring that the marketing plan is strategically aligned with financial goals, and maximize return on investment (ROI) for every resource allocated.
Design and oversee cross-channel marketing campaigns across digital platforms and offline platforms aimed at attracting new players and increasing brand visibility.
Analyze customer journeys and optimize conversion funnels to enhance user experience and maximize acquisition rates.
Lead multiple key departments, including SEO, Online/Offline Marketing , Social Media Strategy, and Affiliates, ensuring cohesive strategies are developed and executed effectively across all channels.
Establish performance indicators and reporting systems for all marketing efforts.
Regularly analyze campaign efficacy and customer behavior data to optimize strategies and ensure alignment with business goals.
Develop, manage, and allocate the marketing budget effectively across all departments to maximize ROI.
Conduct regular audits of spending and adjust tactics based on performance analysis.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability, enabling team members to thrive and deliver exceptional results.
Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure strategic alignment and enhance customer experience through all touchpoints.
Be the champion responsible for gaming practices in all marketing activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and ethical standards while promoting safe gaming experiences.
what you need to know
Profile:
Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing and Customer Acquisition roles, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity, preferably in Gaming, related or entertainment sectors.
Proven track record in managing comprehensive SEO, Online Marketing, Social Media, Offline Marketing strategies, with an understanding of local marketing approaches for the African marketplace.
Strong understanding of Offline Marketing strategies in the African market.
Experience in Paid Ads and/or a solid understanding of how online ads function, particularly in relation to Google and Meta Ads and PPC (Pay-Per-Click).

Leadership and Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multifunctional teams, with experience in fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
Data-driven Decision Making: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in marketing analytics tools to measure performance and derive actionable insights from data.
Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with the African region's diverse cultures and market dynamics, with experience in tailoring marketing strategies to meet the unique preferences of local audiences.
Adaptable Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present strategies and results to Executive Leadership team and other stakeholders.
Fluency in English and French (Written and Verbal).
Proficiency in MS Office Software.
Will need to undertake short-term international travel.
