Our client, a major player in the Manufacturing sector is seeking to recruit a talented Managing Director-Designate. He / She will assist and deputize the Managing Director and provides executive leadership and operational oversight to deliver the Company's strategic objectives. The role is accountable for financial performance, operational excellence, quality and compliance, business development, customer satisfaction, sustainability and recycling initiatives, and the development of high-performing teams in line with established standards and policies.
The Key Responsibilities:
Direct and oversee day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution across the business.
Develop and deliver short and long-term financial and operational plans aligned with the Company's strategy and performance targets.
Lead marketing, sales, and operational execution to achieve or exceed business plan commitments and support profitable growth.
Establish and maintain product and service quality standards through regular performance reviews, complaint investigations, and timely corrective and preventive actions.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by setting performance expectations, monitoring KPIs, and implementing process enhancements.
Sponsor and ensure the implementation of appropriate technology solutions to strengthen efficiency, reporting, and operational control.
Ensure effective cross-functional leadership and coordination across all departments to meet operational and service requirements.
Lead the development and execution of the Company's recycling and sustainability initiatives, ensuring measurable progress and compliance with applicable requirements.
Establish and maintain a proactive human resources approach that supports workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, and compliance with labour regulations and Company policies.
Lead health, safety, and security practice by reinforcing standards, ensuring appropriate emergency response readiness, and driving safe behaviours throughout the organization.
Ensure the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to protect and preserve the Company's physical assets and minimize downtime.
Perform other related duties, consistent with the scope of the role, as assigned.
what you need to know
Profile:
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical/ Industrial/ Textile Engineering or a closely related field.
Master's degree (MBA, MSc Engineering, or equivalent) is not a MUST but could be an advantage.
Demonstrated senior leadership experience within manufacturing/processing sector.
Strong working knowledge of production and quality management systems and regulatory/compliance would be an advantage.
Sound understanding of EHS management in a manufacturing environment, including risk assessments, incident prevention, and legal compliance.
