Our client is seeking to recruit an Accountant.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company
Maintain accurate accounting records, general ledgers and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable accounting standards and policies.
Monitor and manage accounts receivables, accounts payables, billing and producers' payments, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
Prepare and submit monthly management accounts, financial reports and year-end financial statements within established deadlines.
Prepare annual financial statements, including all supporting schedules and disclosures.
Ensure timely submission of statutory and tax filings, including VAT, TDS, and other regulatory returns, in compliance with applicable requirements and assist with tax compliance matters.
Prepare audit documentation and liaise with auditors during internal and external audit exercises and respond to audit queries.
Implement and monitor audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls and financial processes and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, relevant legislation and professional standards.
Perform any other related duties.
what you need to know
Profile:
ACCA (completed Level 2) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accountant position.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, accounting processes and statutory requirements.
Proficiency in microsoft office and accounting software, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data effectively.
Experience working within an ERP environment would be a distinct advantage.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, teamwork and communication skills.
