Our client in the sales sector is seeking to recruit a CAD Operator who will report to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Designer in the planning, design and furnishing of interior environments of residential, office and commercial buildings.
Use software such as Auto Cad, Kitchen Draw, Photoshop or 3D Max to render design ideas in form of drawings or illustrations.
Propose appropriate colours, furniture and materials to complement designs.
Whenever necessary, accompany Sales team on sites to provide technical support as regards surveys, space planning, layout and colour schemes.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.
Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using drafting standards.
Coordinate filing, storage and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings as required by ISO procedures.
Maintain, support and operate associated plotters and printers.
Perform drawing and technology research.
Coordinate with designers, technicians and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages.
Carry out any cognate duty as may be assigned.

what you need to know

Profile:

Minimum HSC with credit in Design & Technology.
Certificate in AUTOCAD – 2D and 3D ( would be an advantage).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in same place.
Artistic ability.
Good command of main Microsoft tools used in interior design.
Accuracy and effectiveness in electronic drafting.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with other colleagues with minimal oversight.
