Our client is seeking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer who will be a key member of the Executive Management Team, responsible for leading the Group's financial strategy, ensuring robust financial governance, and driving operational efficiency across supporting functions including Finance, Administration, Human Resources, and Information Technology. The CFO will provide strategic guidance to support the Group's growth objectives and long-term vision, ensuring compliance, profitability, and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the Group's business objectives.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support decision-making.
Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimize financial performance.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
Oversee treasury and investment strategies to safeguard the company's assets.

Financial Reporting & Control:
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Implement cost control measures and efficiency improvements across the Group.
Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.

Administration Oversight:
Manage general administrative functions ensuring smooth operations and resource allocation.
Oversee procurement, facilities management, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and quality.

Human Resources Leadership:
Provide strategic direction for HR policies, talent acquisition, employee development, and retention.
Foster a performance-driven culture aligned with the Group's values and objectives.
Oversee compensation, benefits, and employee relations to ensure compliance and engagement.

Information Technology Oversight:
Oversee the IT strategy to ensure technology supports the business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
Ensure data security, system reliability, and business continuity through effective IT governance.
Drive the adoption of technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Executive Leadership & Governance:
Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and Board on financial and operational matters.
Contribute to the development and execution of the Group's strategic plan.
Represent the Group in negotiations with key stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulators.

what you need to know

Profile:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent is mandatory.
Minimum 10 years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in the financial services sector.
Proven experience in overseeing HR, IT, and Administration functions is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in Mauritius and international standards.
