Our client is seeking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer who will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
The COO, reporting to the CEO will be the Head of Marketing while leading and managing the day to day operations of the company to ensure efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role will oversee planning, supply chain, warehousing, quality, Producers services and customer service while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Time allocated would be around 50% for each role i.e Marketing and Operations.
Responsibilities:
Optimise the sales of all sugars produced in Mauritius to increase the net revenue for producers, while adjusting to commercial challenges, and ensure proper implementation of the commercial contracts.
Collaborate with the CEO to set marketing strategies and goals, and business priorities.
Develop and execute operational strategies.
Translate corporate strategy and priorities into actionable goals and operational KPIs.
Provide support and guidance to commercial partners of the company in order to seek highest value for Mauritius sugars.
Coordinate with other stakeholders, including producers and at Government level, to ensure that the interest of the company is preserved and it can live up to commercial challenges and benefit from market opportunities.
Develop a Branding Strategy of the company.
Oversee inventory management, planning, quality and customer service.
Drive efficiency in logistics, reducing delivery lead times and costs.
Implement best practices, process improvements to increase productivity.
Oversee ERP to improve data visibility and decision making.
Set and monitor budgets for operations.
Track and report operational KPIs ensuring continuous performance improvements with relevant dashboards.
Lead, coach and develop teams.
Ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction levels.

Profile:
Relevant Degree.
Experience working with international markets will be an advantage.
Proven leadership in operations management.
Good experience in marketing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data driven mindset.
Good financial acumen (budgeting, cost control).
Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to drive organizational change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Proficiency with ERP.
