Our client is seeking to recruit for the post of Compliance Assistant who will assist the Compliance Officer and MLRO and will liaise closely with other internal departments.

Responsibilities:

Assist with compliance-related tasks as assigned by the Compliance Officer.
Collect and review due diligence documents for new client onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
Review client files (under guidance) to ensure they meet current laws and regulations.
Monitor bank transactions and keep accurate records.
Conduct screening and prepare enhanced due diligence reports.
Maintain compliance databases and spreadsheets as required.
Attend internal and external trainings provided or funded by the company when required.
Assist in the review of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing policies and procedures.
Keep up to date with relevant laws and regulatory changes.
Assist in preparing and submitting FSC surveys.
Communicate with clients, banks, and regulators on compliance matters when needed.
Maintain accurate records by keeping server folders and physical files organised and complete.
Keep track of working time using a timesheet or time management system.
Support other team members when needed.
Carry out any other related tasks assigned by management.

what you need to know

Profile:

Law degree or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years' experience in the financial services sector.

Communicate clearly in both written and spoken form.

Keep a strong focus on company and client needs, delivering good service.
