Our client, a management company is seeking to recruit a Deputy Chief Financial Officer who will report to the Chief Financial Officer. As Deputy CFO of the company your primary responsibility is to assist the CFO in the day-to-day financial management , ensuring the effective oversight of accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, internal controls and tax compliance. You will exercise delegated authority over payments, purchases and other financial operations in support of the CFO's overall stewardship of the company's finances.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the internal accounting personnel, including allocation of tasks and assessment of the level of experience and competency of the team.
Oversee the preparation of Management information for the company including financials. cash flows, sales, forecasts and budgets, for review by the CFO and senior management.
Oversee the preparation of Audited Financial Statements forthe company and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness ahead of audit sign-off
Oversee the preparation of KPI data to monitor and drive financial performance across functions.
Oversee the forecasting and budgeting function, ensuring financial plans are realistic, regularly updated and aligned with strategic objectives.
Manage the group's cash flow forecast, monitoring iquidity and escalating funding requirements to the CFO as needed.
Manage the group's exposure to foreign currency risks, including monitoring exchange rate movements and recommending mitigation measures where appropriate.
Review payroll prior to processing and authorise payments on the banksi Internet Banking (1B) platforms.
Authorise payments via 1B or cheque for internal companies and client companies, in line with delegated signing authority.
Oversee the purchases and payables function, ensuring invoices are propery authorised, recorded and settled within agreed terms.
Oversee the revenue and receivables function, including monitoring of ageing debtors and holding debtors' meetings with the relevant teams to resolve outstanding balances.
Approve company purchases within delegated authority limits, escalating to the CFO whare limits are exceeded.
Oversee internal controls and procedures within the company, ensuring these remain robust. properly documented and consistently applied.
Manage the company's taxation affairs, including timely computation, filing and payment of tax liabilities and liaison with tax advisors where required.
Oversee the insurance needs of the group, ensuring adequate coverage is maintained and renewals are managed proactively.
Liaise with external auditors for the annual audit and with the internal auditor, ensuring effective completion of audit assignments and timely closure of findings.
Assist the CFO in his dally responsibilities and undertake other specific and ad-hoc duties as allocated from time to time.
what you need to know
Profile:
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
ACCA,CA or CPA preferred.
At least 10 years' experience in the field.
Hands on Experience with ERP system.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
