Our client in the sales sector is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller who will report to the Senior Finance Manager and Chief Operating Officer. The Financial Controller will be responsible for controllership matters, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, reporting, compliance, credit Control, cash flow, tax, and internal controls. The latter is also called on to deal with the tax, legal and regulatory matters of the organization and ensure compliance. Moreover, the Financial Controller is expected to play an active role in providing financial guidance to support business objectives and operations.


Responsibilities:

Manage the accounting and finance department & foster a culture of collaboration, integrity and continuous improvement.
Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the financial reporting.
Managing the budgeting, forecasting, and assist in the business planning process.
Primary responsibility for ensuring internal controls is in place across the organization and enforced, and reviewed periodically to ensure that they are adequate and in conformity to accounting standards, applicable Regulations and Laws.
Enhance financial systems, processes and leverage on ERP system to improve efficiency and for seamless operations.
Identify and manage financial risks and assist Management in adopting constantly a proactive risk-based approach to business risks and business continuity; periodically re-assess the key risks areas of the organization and accordingly put in place contingency actions.
Ensuring timely filing of all tax and any other statutory returns; responsible for tax affairs of the organization.
Primary contact with external and internal auditors.
Acting as the financial advisor for the operational managers in the management of their operations and decision-making process.
Optimizing working capital and implement strategies to improve cash flow.
