In a fast-growing and evolving regulatory environment, our client, in the construction sector is seeking to recruit a Group Consolidation & Internal Control Manager to strengthering its finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of consolidated financial information in accordance with IFRS standards, driving the implementation of internal control processes, and coordinating with the shareholder to ensure seamless integration of consolidated accounts.
Responsibilities:
Financial Consolidation:
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process for approximately 20 entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
Ensure consistency and quality of consolidated financial data, in collaboration with local teams and subsidiary Head of Finance .
Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting materials for management committees and external auditors.
Manage the transition between French GAAP and IFRS for relevant entities.
Internal Control:
Design, document, and implement internal control procedures tailored to identify risks.
Monitor and follow up on corrective action plans arising from internal and external audits.
Train and raise awareness among operational teams and subsidiary Finance Directors on internal control issues.
Coordinate internal and external audits in collaboration with audit firms.
Ensure alignment of local practices with group standards.
Stakeholder Coordination and Continuous Improvement:
Coordinate with the shareholder to ensure smooth integration of consolidated accounts into the group's financial reporting.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for financial processes and reporting.
Participate in cross-functional projects (e.g., entity integration, implementation of new tools).
Contribute to the optimization of reporting tools (ERP, consolidation software).
what you need to know
Profile:
Master's degree in Accounting/Finance (e.g., DSCG, Master CCA, Business School).
Minimum 5 years of experience in an audit firm (Big 4 preferred), with expertise in IFRS consolidation and internal control.
Technical Skills :
Strong knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP.
Experience with consolidation tools and ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Business Central).
Knowledge of financial closing and reporting processes.
Fluency in English and French (both working languages).
Soft Skills:
Rigorous, organized, and able to prioritize effectively.
Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
Excellent communication and pedagogical skills to work effectively with multicultural teams and subsidiary Finance Directors.
Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy, and proactivity.
