Our client is seeking to recruit a Head of Finance who will hold a pivotal role within an organisation, bearing responsibility for the overall financial strategy, management, and integrity of the business.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the organisation's financial strategy in alignment with broader business objectives. This involves financial planning, forecasting, and supporting long-term growth initiatives.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial statements and reports
Oversee compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Lead the budgeting process, sets financial targets, and monitors performance against budgets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency across the organisation.
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks is a core responsibility.
Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure business continuity.
Manage the organisation's capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
Oversee relationships with banks, investors, and other financial partners, ensuring optimal funding for operations and growth.
Maintain healthy cash flow is essential for operational stability and oversee cash management, working capital, and investment decisions to support ongoing business needs.
Lead the finance function, managing and developing finance teams.
Collaborate closely with other members of the executive team and the board.
Communicate financial performance and strategy to internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders, analysts, and employees, ensuring transparency and building investor confidence.
Lead digital finance transformation initiatives and adopt new technologies to enhance financial processes and reporting.
what you need to know
Profile:
Qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA, CPA or any equivalent qualifications).
Holder of an MBA would be of an advantage.
Prior Experience in a similar role with a minimum of 12 years working experience and at least 5 years at senior managerial level.
Strong ability to act as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve the organization's financial performance.
Ethical, adaptable, action oriented and well-organized.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen.
Strategic and Critical Mindset, ability to remain calm under pressure.
Must have a critical strategic thinking.
