Our client in the banking sector is seeking to recruit a Head of Marketing who will report to the Chief Executive Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the Group's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities in Mauritius and internationally and to develop the brand to maximise the brand's long-term potential.

Responsibilities

Develop the brand through highly effective marketing plans, deep understanding of the target market and successful channel management system to maximize the brand's long-term potential.
Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the Group's image and position within the marketplace and the general public, and facilitate internal and external communications.
Support feedback and ideas to drive improvement and innovation.
Responsible for organization of marketing, communications and public relations activities and materials including publications, media relations, events organisations in Mauritius and internationally.
Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of the group's publications.
Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, and uses this information to help the companies within the group operate with initiative and innovation.
Lead, plan and budget projects as assigned, such as sponsored and special events.
Ensure the Group regularly conducts relevant market research, coordinates, and oversees this activity.
Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives.
Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the Chief Executive Officer.

Profile:

Degree in Marketing, Business Management or any equivalent qualification.
More than 5 years' experience in a similar position.
Strong board and management leadership.
