Our client in the distribution sector is seeking to recruit a dynamic Human Resources Manager who will report to the Chief Executive Officer. The incumbent will collaborate closely with a myriad of business partners to deliver expert HR guidance and solutions that align with and advance the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire recruitment and selection process, which includes advertising, vacancies, shortlisting of candidates, coordinating interviews and developing job offers.
Ensure the monthly and yearly returns to MRA are being conducted as per statutory requirements and deadlines.
Ensure that Payroll journal and tax reports are being provided to Finance two working days before end of month.
Provide expert advice and support to employees, addressing any queries or concerns they may have promptly and effectively.
Seek legal advice from the legal advisor when necessary to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Oversee and manage disciplinary actions, grievance procedures and whistlebowing issues.
Monitor and evaluate the performance and progress of nominated employees, providing feedback and guidance.
Assist in analysing current organisational procedures and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
Oversee the administration of employee records, ensuring that all records are accurately maintained, updated and stored in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

what you need to know

Profile:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Management, Organisational Psychology, or related fields.
At least 3 years' experience in senior executive positions.
Exceptional communications and negotiation skills.
Job market knowledge and Business understanding.
Financial knowledge.
Leadership skills: ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Conflict Management: Capacity to manage conflicts and drive win-win outcomes.
Coaching and mentoring capabilities, encourage professional growth and development within the team.
Possess advanced knowledge and proficiency in HR software systems such as HRPTA and SICORAX.
Possess a thorough understanding of the workers' Rights Act and Relations Act, including its provisions, regulations and implications for both employers and employees.
