Our client in the Agricultural sector is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Technical Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of mechanical technicians and heavy equipment mechanics, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.
Lead the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, including piping and hydraulic components.
Carry out and oversee maintenance tasks on heavy machinery such as excavators, industrial machines, and other plant equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, ensuring timely resolution to minimise downtime.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to optimise equipment performance and reliability.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the plant.
Collaborate with engineers and plant management to improve mechanical processes and systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in a mechanical supervisory role within a factory or industrial plant environment.
Strong hands-on technical skills in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and heavy equipment.
Expertise in managing piping, hydraulic, and large machinery maintenance.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with health and safety standards applicable to industrial settings.
Desirable Qualities:

Working Hours and Location:
This role is primarily based on-site at the private property, encompassing the offices, residential premises, and bungalow. Working hours may vary and can include occasional evenings or weekends depending on maintenance requirements or emergencies.
Remuneration:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits may be provided, such as accommodation or transport allowance, depending on the needs of the property.
