Our client in the accounting sector is seeking a seasoned, detail-driven Payroll Manager to lead the payroll practice in Mauritius — owning end-to-end operations for a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, ensuring compliance, precision and the highest standards of client service.
Responsibilities:
Define payroll strategy, mentor team & identify new client opportunities.
Full MRA compliance; monitor payroll law & tax regulation changes.
End-to-end payroll processing for all client portfolios with strict controls.
Primary escalation point; cultivate trust-based client relationships.
Payroll dashboards, analytics & system upgrades.
Internal controls, audits & proactive mitigation of compliance gaps.
what you need to know
Profile:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent — ACCA fully or partly qualified.
Proven Payroll Manager track record across multiple client portfolios- minimum 5 years' experience in a payroll management role.
In-depth knowledge, Mauritius payroll law, MRA, NPF/NSF & labour legislation.
Demonstrated leadership & client-facing communication skills.
Experience with Sicorax Payroll, Full HRMS, and SAGE is preferred.
Demonstrate experience managing payroll across multiple jurisdictions, including familiarity with varying tax, social contribution and compliance frameworks.
