Our client is seeking to recruit a Sales Manager who will be responsible for the management and performance of the sales team for new vehicles. As part of the management team, the Sales manager is also responsible for the implementation of the back-to-basics strategy.

Responsibilities:

Sales to Delivery Management:
Serve as the Brand Ambassador, ensuring the Sales team delivers exceptional, white-glove service throughout the customer journey.
Lead the Sales team to consistently uphold standards and brand integrity while meeting sales and profitability targets.
Ensure the sales-to-delivery process operates smoothly by adhering to established procedures and timelines.
Deliver strategic recommendations to management informed by sales data and market intelligence.

Operational Management:
Conduct weekly meetings with the Sales team to communicate objectives and monitor progress against sales and profitability targets.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data in the CRM system to enhance customer relationship management.
Maintain good relationship principal counterparts and liaise with them on business matters and attend meetings.
Oversee the inventory of both new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring timely orders are placed to maintain optimal availability for customer demands.
Supervise the complete vehicle import process, including payment management and shipment tracking, ensuring timely updates are shared with the team.
Maintain the showroom and facilities to ensure they are in excellent condition and consistently reflect brand identity and visual standards.

Relationship Management and Negotiation:
Utilize compliant methods to attract new clients and expand the company's customer base.
Maintain regular contact with existing clients, focusing on strengthening relationships to encourage repeat business.
Establish relationships with external partners.
Partner with the Service Manager to ensure prompt resolution of aftersales complaints, adopting a hands-on approach as necessary.
Collaborate closely with the Marketing department to enhance and develop impactful marketing strategies and initiatives that effectively promote the brand and products.
Ability to handle complaints and difficult clients.
Perform regular corporate visits.

Business Planning and Development:
Provide input on business development strategies to management, contributing to strategic planning sessions.
Embrace an intrapreneurial mindset by exploring new opportunities for innovation and product improvement to maintain competitive advantage.
Take responsibility for approved strategic initiatives, closely monitoring their implementation and progress to ensure they align with organizational objectives.

Financial Monitoring & Reporting:
Collaborate with the Finance department to manage cash flow effectively and monitor debtor performance.
Deliver monthly reports to management on progress relative to sales forecasts and key performance indicators established by principal.
Attend bi-monthly meetings with principal to track key performance indicators in relation to monthly and quarterly objectives.
Deliver key data insights to the Planning & Monitoring Committee to support strategic decision-making and annual business plan development.

People Management:
Manage the team fairly and equitably, fostering a collaborative and communicative environment.
Conduct regular performance reviews.
Identify training needs and ensure certification to standards.
Partner with HR to implement HR processes and enforce adherence to policies and procedures.

what you need to know

Profile:

HSC and Diploma in sales or marketing.
At least 5 years as a sales team leader or higher position.
Car Driving license
Fluent in French.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Good negotiation skills.
Product knowledge and keen understanding of the local automobile industry.
Ability to lead and manage teams.
Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
Technical proficiency to operate sales management software and CRM systems.
Expertise in developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
