Our client is seeking to recruit a Senior Manager who will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the strategic, operational, and cultural transformation of the organisation. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable business growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing overall performance, including full P&L accountability.The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong commercial acumen and possess a sharp commercial drive, with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities while maintaining sound financial discipline.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Board to define long-term goals and KPIs.
Ensure operational, structural, and cultural alignment.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and economic shifts to inform strategic priorities.
Ensure business strategies are future-focused, scalable, and aligned with core values.
Lead portfolio development through client segmentation, new channels, and cross-selling.
Oversee brand positioning, marketing campaigns, and lead generation efforts.
Build strong relationships with insurers, corporate clients, and high-value partners.
Champion a customer-centric culture, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial planning in coordination with the Finance team.
Ensure compliance with AML/CFT, data protection, and regulatory standards.
Monitor operational risks and lead business continuity and crisis response planning.
Promote strong internal controls and responsible financial stewardship.
Ensure that the objectives set for the company profit is attained.
Ensure alignment with legal, compliance, and reporting obligations.
Oversee implementation of KYC/CDD frameworks and internal audits.
Liaise with legal teams and regulators, preparing for inspections or reviews.
Provide clear, concise reporting and insights to the Board and Top Management.
Build and mentor a high-performing senior leadership team.
Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and innovation.
Guide succession planning and talent retention strategies.
Oversee adherence to HR policies, labour laws, and a safe, motivating work environment.

what you need to know

Profile:

Degree in Insurance, Management, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in insurance or financial services.
Proven ability to lead transformation, compliance, and growth in regulated environments.
Experience in stakeholder management, board reporting, and people development.
Deep knowledge of insurance brokerage operations across functions (sales, underwriting, claims, compliance).
Strong grasp of regulatory frameworks, risk management practices, and corporate governance.
Strong analytical thinking for trend analysis, risk assessment, and problem-solving.
Agile decision-making under pressure, balancing short- and long-term needs.
